Issue Position: Choice

I am pro-family and pro-choice, with a 100% voting record from Planned Parenthood. The Branstad-Reynolds administration has pursued a reckless agenda that hurts Iowa families and restricts the ability of women to make their own healthcare decisions. Simply put, they chose to ignore the facts and ignore women's health rather than support the critical family planning services that so many Iowans rely on every day.

The attack on Planned Parenthood was an attack on families in every community across the state and will lead to dangerous medical outcomes for Iowans. As a state representative, I am proud to have stood alongside my colleagues to oppose this effort and other attempts by this administration to restrict health care options. When I am elected governor, I will reverse this legislation. I will also continue to support and fight for family planning services and a woman's right to make her own healthcare decisions.
